What is PCC and what grade is used?

PCC is plain cement concrete with no reinforcement, used as a base or levelling course under footings and floors. M7.5 (1:4:8) and M10 (1:3:6) are common; M5 (1:5:10) for light levelling.

What thickness is a PCC bed?

A PCC bed is usually 75 to 100 mm thick under footings and floors; 50 mm is sometimes used for a thin levelling course.

How much material for PCC?

Multiply area by thickness for the volume, scale by 1.54 for dry volume, then split by the grade ratio. A 100 square-foot, 100 mm M10 bed needs roughly 5 to 6 bags of cement.
